Those 50mm lenses are awesome. Really awesome picture quality. It's a pitty the majority of the great lenses are so expensive though. :/
I was mucking about over the weekend and picked out a few lenses that I would like to own. Just a simple zoom lense, wide angle and macro lense could cost around £2k. It's quite depressing really. :P

But I reckon I'd only really use the wide angle, macro and 50 extensively. :P
I really rate portraits with the wide angle effect. Although picture quality and performance can't quite compete with that bloody 50mm :D

Oh nice one. I have an accout on flickr too, although I can't remember the username I have. I'll investigate. I've really wanted to get myself a camera for ages. Finally saving up again to get one hopefully around Christmas time. I'm hoping to get a 50D or a 40D when the 60D comes out, so I can spend the extra cash on a lense. Although, I do want to get a fullframe camera. What sort of gear are you using at the moment. You're photo of the bullet hole is awesome btw. I've not gone through all your pics yet though. :p

I'm using a 400D with the std lens and a fixed 50/1.8 (which I love).
